A good deed done is of no recognition...

Today was juz another day... waking up.. checking the bloddy CORS system if my modules are up yet or not... well, not yet... screw up... haiz... So today spent the morning checking mails and surfing the net...
Then in the afternoon, I was so frustrated so I decided to go for a run in Punggol Park... the starting was kinda ok, but soon my feet felt the strain as I had jogged the other day... I slowed down and to my surprise... I saw a rather large, big, giagatic.. err.. think it was a terrapin.. or was it a turtle? Haha...
 
The poor chap was trying to crawl up the pavement to get back into the pond.. but it seems to high for it to be "climbing" (no crawls or hands, how to???) ... I realised that it could have just de-tour around the corner where the floor becomes flat with the ground.. but well, I think animals only think of the fastest way out and become so stubborn that they never see other solutions to the way out that are so visible... are we human beings like tat too? Well, afterall.. we ARE mammals...
My conscious didn't hit me at first... I ran away from it and continued to the fitness station... I thought maybe other people would do the effort... since there were many others around. But while doing some sit-ups... My liang xing juz shot me so badly... afterall, the "terrapin" was still a living thing... and it could die if it were to be left under the hot sun...  so I went back and check whether it was still there.. And you guessed it! It was still there.... so there I was, worried about how to carry it and whether it would be heavy.. it was large ok?! So I plucked two leaves and used them to pick it up by the sides of its shell... it was hissing at me.. like it was so afraid.. all its limbs and head were into the shell.. so cute... hahaha.. then I brought it down near the pond and left it on the grass patch... after a while... it quickly returned back into the water... haha... no one saw me doing that though... as if it was on purpose... A good deed done is not being praised.. haha... crap...
 
Well, we cannot always ask pple to give us the praises we deserve.. for it is the world tat is almost blinded wif selfishness and self-pride... everything is only focused on the person himself and things revolving around him. If only we will start to realise the things that are around us and really appreciate them... then will it be a better world.. don't u think so? Though my act of "good" deed isn't recognized, I felt really good... sometimes, only you alone know what good you've done... so dun bother if people do recognize it or not.. wat's important is that you feel it yourself!

Let's start this post wif CORS: freaking system... hate it ever since they implemented it... now bidding modules so troublesome... esp. now tat I wanna drop one of the pre-allocated modules also so hard... becoz maybe next semester the professors dun let us take or wat.. I dunno the actual details.. haiz... now round 1C liao.. *panic* but i got 5 modules liao... atmost drop those 2 tat so troublesome lor... haiz... die die lor... haiz... so now still bz wif it...
 
Next! Welcome Tea cum meet juniors! Haha.. this was actually yesterday's stuff.. but got home too late and wanted to settle some issues about the CORS thing, so nv post.. so now I back-track to yesterday ah! Hahaha.. it was fun yesterday, seniors (us) meeting up after the long holidays... so long no see some pple ah.. miss them.. ya.. rite... things were rather rush coz we had to conduct ice-breaker games for the juniors... wat's bad is tat my group (suppose to have 4 seniors) only had me in the start! Ah Fu had to help at the registration counter.. hahaha... then I so blur and Gan Giong (nervous) that I totally looked like a fool! Kekeke... but lucky the juniors still appear to be pei he me... otherwise i realli will run off one! kekeke... let's see if I can remember the name sequence in my group:- Sandrya (err.. hope I spell correctly), Mei Zhen, Shuying, Amy, Xin hui, Jack? I think I got some names wrong! hahaha... nvm tat... I'm totally bad wif names... I have short-term memory! But then i think I became one of the outstanding seniors since the guys brought out one of my chou (bad/not nice) thing and let everyone know it! hahaha.... if u not from BE Yr 3 or Chemistry students who are now Yr 2, you will not know... Hahahaha...
I really hoped tat the juniors in my group felt comfortable wif me, but lucky Yinvonne came in and Ah Fu finally came to sum everything up... lucky got Ah FU..hahahah.. But overall, I realised tat the new juniors (Yr 1 & 2) are quite serious looking... machiam wanna kill off all opponents like tat.. hahaha... sha qi hen zhong...but I hope everyone will start to relax and settle comfortly wif the rest soon... we're a small family and togetherness will be a good thing! Ok lah, I talked to Sandrya (spell?) b4 the games started and luckily I didn't sound too blur as a senior.. hahaha.. managed to talk to her about some stuffs... and she happens to be my mentee... my other 2 didn't turn up.. dunno who they are anyway, hope they will look me up when they need help or wat. Then there is another, Amy! Hahaha... I actually talked to her b4 in MSN, but finally see her in person! I told her she looked like the sports type coz she's very tan, but she says she's not. Instead it was due to Orientation under the hot sun! hahaha! And yes, u can guess... she says I'm white... argh... she also very funni... she told me I am one of the better looking ones among the seniors! Wah, I flew to the Sun and back! Heehee.. can crap quite abit wif her... very talkative... and yes, tt's a gal's characteristic I guess... Oh yah, have to add this.. my cousin Deborah is in the course as a Yr 1 too! haha... hope she'll enjoy Uni life!  And  guess wat, we have 2 new secretaries in the department:- Claire and Noorimah... both very young one.. maybe I older than them leh... Muahahahhaha..

Aiyah, then now no time to continue on my HTML... gotta  postpone.... blog and webpage are on hold now!!!! Wait till I got the time ah....
And now I have to quit my job since timetable clashes wif it... haiz... perhaps today was my last day... maybe sat still can do last one... hahaha... no choice, totally under the slaughter blade of my department... but todayI talked to one of the girls helping out with the project, she's a Yr 4 I think, doing this project as her FYP. Didn't get her name... maybe wun get also... coz wun be seeing her anywayz... it's one of those acquaintance u meet and juz say goodbye, if u noe wat I mean... but she looks rather sweet and cute, she's petite and well-toned in the area, if u know wat I mean... opps... she better not read my blog man... hahahaha. It's a compliment!
 
And yes.. next week finally starting lessons... though the rest of the Uni will start only after NDP.. damn.... unfair! plus I still got standby for the nation...why? WHY!??!?!?!??!

Module Planning.

Once again, our school's module system has started for us to bid. The stupid CORS system that I've grown to hate it, hahaha... Well, the semester's starting and we have to arrange our timetable.  So, I am currently stalled at reading the textbook on HTML... have to settle this one 1st!
My faculty has arranged for me to do 6 core modules, all like very tough one leh.. can die... So I'm dropping one of them, in place of another module which does not require any memorization...  I hate to memorise things! Hahahaha... But who noes, last min I may even choose to do only 5 modules, even though it'll still be a 6-day week schedule for me.  The modules I'm doing are:-

1. Biomedical Engineering Design
2. Introduction to Biomechanics
3. Introduction to Biomaterials
4. Biothermodynamics & Transport
5. Human Anatomy
6. Cell Biology (intending to drop)
7. Engin Professionism (bidding)

And sad to say is that one of my modules clashes with the part-time job I'm doing now, and the professor says there's no webcast... haiz... no choice... have to get myself removed from the job... wah lauz.... damn... lost of income and fun there... hahaha... hope I can actually get myself out of it... 

Work...

Ok, came online too late... it's already 2:15am, considered yesterday's news... Hahaha... Ok, now my blog looks really crap with the not-workable "GO!" buttons... I will find time to fix it one day..
As I was saying, yesterday was another day of work... Think I got my retribution very quickly... was laughing at the guy being strapped to the seat with those wirings on Wednesday... now it's my turn coz he didn't turn up! OMG... can really understand the inconvenience and uncomfortability now... I was there for more than 4 hrs not going to the loo.. that's not such a big problem since I didn't drink much water and in turn still had to give up saliva, remember? See wednesday's post! What's worse was that the medical tape could not be taken off my hair (pasted on my forehead)... I had to pull it and broke part of my hair.. gosh...
Work is rather fun now since I dun really bother about the monetary returns from the results... Now things got rather bad... my timetable schedule clashes wif one of my work-timing... doubt I can switch to another time-slot since mine's a 6-day week.. haiz.. see how my professors reply me about the lectures and the availability of web-casts... =(
Ok, think I'm goin to bed... so "early" liao.. hahhaha... didn't catch much sleep the last 2 nites too...kekeke... Nitez...

Renovation news...

Today my RC posted voting sheets for the color scheme for our entire estate. And yes... it's nv going to be what it used to be... the old, very familiar red/maroon bricks of Hougang.
Well, they offered 2 schemes... both base colors are beige... with either 1)light-blue or 2)maroon.
I haven't seen the maroon scheme but the light-blue one is being done around my block area...
I dun really like both.. coz it really makes me uncomfortable looking at a new color after 10 yrs being here... Wat's worse... they're puting the Aljunied logo on the block too... My my my... *shivers* Dread the day the entire place turns to either one of those colors... Hahaha

Salivary glands shagged out...

Wah, today finally resumed my stupid part-time job wif NUS. Today's duration was longer than the trial sessions, suming up to 4.5 hrs... very tired ah... all the simple tests we did today, I cannot finish ah!!! Am I getting stupid???? *sob*
But wat's terrible was that we had to give saliva as their test samples... a whole 10 minutes devoted to producing saliva!!!! That's why I claim my salivary glands are shagged! Hahahah... Also 2 people in my group had to have wires and stuffs connected on them for experimental purposes... OMG... cannot even go toilet! Never mind that, lucky we still got Oreo cookies to eat and free flow of mineral water!-Best part of the whole work time...
After work, went Bishan J8 wif Shaolong to makan and buy something.... went to a jewellry shop and one of the sales girl was so eye catching! She had that kind of charisma and charm that would capture any guy!!! Though not the prettiest and most decent-looking girl, she had me "bi-o-ing" at her throughout the duration in the shop! Hahaha.. not bad after half a day's torment infront of papers and the LCD screen... >.<

Sorry people, I'm still trying to understand all the web-designing stuffs... I even borrowed a book from the library on HTML, hope I'll finish it soon. Meanwhile I'll not post any posts wif photos until I can solve the problem. Heard from my frend that geocities.com does not allow external link... perhaps that's why my homepage is also facing similar problems... Bear wif it for the moment!!! Thanks!

My ghostly estate!

Feeling ill...

Gosh, this morning I woke up ard 8.30. Washed up and fed my fished, then I went to Hougang Stadium to jog. Damn... my shoe wore off and gave me a broken blister at my left ankle after only 4 rounds on the track. It was terribly painful and irritating. But after that, I still went swimming. The sensation of a open wound touched by water is woo-ho~! I almost jumped when I took my shower beside the pool. Nevertheless, I still jumped in there and OUCH! Swimming for roughly about 35 minutes, something caught my eyes. A babe in yellow bikini came down and boy was she astonishing! Hahaha... I kept looking at her, hey hey! Wat do you think I am? An animal? I carried on swimming, but within 10 minutes or so, it started to pour heavily... spoiling my mood for the day... I packed my stuff and left the complex, not forgetting to glance at the babe one last time. That was pretty much wat I did today, oh yah... watched Hot Shots on Channel 5, think it was the first time I watched TV for so long since the hols!!! And during the commercial breaks, I was totally disgusted! There were shots of Singapore Idol and PLEASE! The contestants make me wanna PUKE! OMG.... Don't people know shame? Do they really think they can be accepted like William Hung(worse man, they're worse)? Please, don't let me see SI on TV!!!! And yah, I'm feeling feverish now.. think I've fallen ill... hahaha.

Uncomfortable...

Might as well write this post too, it's been on my mind for a few days already...
The residential area I'm living in is under renovation (actually only painting lah). Those workers ah... sit all those things come up and down.. then spray water jet anyhow into my place... lucky i managed to closed the windows that protect important things.. like my PC!!! Otherwise spoil liao... Dun say them liao...
Well, they're painting the flats with a white coating for now... gosh.. my flat now looks like a ghost building from afar.. then juz the other day they painted the corridors white too... oh my, it freaking weird.. even today when I came home, I was shocked when the lift opened the door.. Hahaha, still not used that my flat's white in colour.. of all colours! But I realised that they also painted the lift section blue! OMG!!! My area is known for its maroon bricks! If become blue ah.. I dun even noe if I live in anymore! Muahahhaha.. Let's hope they paint it back to a similar colour, and quickly!!! And pls... dun let the workers catch a glimpse of me sleeping or changing my clothes!!!

Shaolong's Birthday!

Today's my buddy's birthday! Planned & organised it wif some ideas from my friends... The people who went included of course the birthday boy, Teck Wee, Cow, Shuzheng and yes, ME! >.<

We went to Miraman Hotel at Havelock Road for Tim Sum buffet, at the Orient Ocean Restaurant. Hmm... the tim sum not bad, quite worth the value I muz admit. We kinda make a mistake by ordering fried dishes at the beginning... haha... after a while, the 5 of us were already struggling wif the food on the table! But still we continue to eat our tim sum!!! We ordered 5 "longs" of "Hak Gao" and trust me... we had difficulty finishing them after all those fried food!!! We slowly finished our stuffs and did finish all we ordered! Sad to say, we couldn't find the famous sauce Cow was talking about... perhaps the dish was taken out of the menu... kekekeke... And perhaps tonite I'll have nightmares abt the 5 "longs" of "Hak Gao"!!!!

Nx stop was to go to Tea chapter at Neil Rd. We were all like pregnant women... couldn't walk properly man, groaning in pain.. esp me... I wore tight jeans... really cannot stand my bloated tummy!!! Hahaha, we took a wrong direction and almost got lost! Hey, not tat chiam lah... Singapore wun get lost easily one lah, take cab lor. We settled down at Tea Chapter, but I proceeded to Chinatown in search of a cake for the birthday boy. But to no veil, I couldn't find a proper cake shop and got lost in Kreta Ayer... Oh my... I really cannot topo... but I managed to find my way back, perspiring and penting like mad.. We order 2 types of tea, Pu-er and Gui-hua... Quite nice. And we played games like Up-words, "Wu zi qi" & Transfer chess. Haha, very fun... I was defeated by SZ in 6 steps in "Wu zi qi" coz I was too engrossed in my "Ba Gua Zheng"! Hahahaha. And yes! Cow and I defeated SL and SZ in Transfer chess convincingly in the last game! Hohohoh... but too bad, Teck Wee had to leave early coz he had to rush down to Woodlands to work. nevermind, another time perhaps...

I think today was really fun, I had a great time.. esp. meeting my old frend whom I havn't met for a yr-Shuzheng, aka LPZ! I really hope the rest of the pple had fun, esp. the Birthday Boy Shaolong!!!! Orient Ocean has not bad tim sum, really worth the $$$, but the "Feng Zua"(Chicken feet) not as good as Gapz.. heehee... And Tea Chapter really is a nice place to go sit down talk talk... Do try that place, but not at peak hours k? I truely recommend tat place... Nice ambience...Reasonable price... And as TW says, I can "pao cha" and pian zhabor liao! Hahaha... Ok lah, I was brewing the tea almost all the time, the stuffs were next to me wat... Hahahha. =P

IPPT today... I JUZ cannot RUN!!!!

Today it was raining at my place as early as 230pm... I've already booked an IPPT session at Maju Camp which starts at 5pm. I called the camp and despite the rain, they're still holding the session. So, I travelled down the 1 hr journey.

This was my 4th Non-ICT IPPT test that I'm taking... Nervous, exhausted and freaking tired, I believe today was the day I can finally get the stupid $100 from the SAF. My previous attempts were all crampled at the hands, or should I say.. the legs, of the 2.4 km run. It was weird though... During my ICT, my timing was 12:26s, a mere 6 seconds to pass... How irritating it was to miss it!!! Hahaha... but the following tests turned out to be worse... increasing to 12:46, then dropping to 12:38, to 12:22. WAH!!! 12:22, again missed it by 2 seconds!!! Kekeke..

But today, I did my personal worst... having attacked by stitch and gastric pain... I was totally helpless at the roads of Maju Camp... Indeed, I failed once again.. having a timing of 13:16. Gosh... I juz cannot run!!!! But nevertheless, I'm not going to stop now... I still have 5 months or so to pass my IPPT, and I am going to do so! My plans will be to do personal training ASAP. Yes! That is my aim for now! Muahahha
